Projects

Universal Institute of Engineering & Technology encourages investigation of basic and applied areas of science and technology in the form of Sponsored and Consultancy projects. Research grants for such projects are given by Government agencies, Academic Institutions and industries (both national and international). These projects are usually of 1-5 years duration with periodic appraisals, while research objectives and goals may be refined along the way. The institute has set up modern laboratories and the supporting infrastructure.

The faculty of the institute maintains strong industrial links by undertaking consultancy assignments. This includes job of varied nature like troubleshooting, product and process development and design checks.

Patents

Universal Group of Institutions (UGI) plays a crucial role in promoting innovation and research among faculty members and students. It actively supports and guides the process of filing patent applications to protect intellectual property generated within the institution. The centre collaborates with qualified patent attorneys to ensure that all applications are properly prepared, reviewed, and submitted in accordance with legal and procedural requirements.

Publications

As a result of the tireless efforts and consistent focus on research and innovation, the Universal Group of Institutions (UGI) has achieved remarkable success in the field of academic research. The institute takes pride in having numerous research publications to its credit, including papers published in SCI-indexed, Scopus-indexed, UGC-approved, national, and international peer-reviewed journals.

The institute has produced over 1700 research papers, out of which more than 900 have been published in SCI, Scopus, and UGC-indexed journals.
