The College offers Four years integrated B.A.B.Ed. Programme. We are indeed privileged to be the top college in Punjab
to start a Four Year Integrated B.A.B.Ed. Programme from the Academic Year 2016. The College arranges and organizes the
value and knowledge based different activities like seminars, workshops, expertise lectures and many more regularly. We
strictly follow the government events calendar and sports tournaments etc.
This Institution is a composite campus offering various professional courses of education like B.Ed.,B.A.-B.Ed. D.El.Ed.
along with B.A,B.Com; duly recognised by NCTE New Delhi ,SCERT and affiliated to Punjabi University Patiala.

Under Graduate

B.Ed (2 Years ): Bachelor of Education, is an undergraduate degree program designed to prepare individuals for a
career in teaching. It equips future educators with the knowledge, skills, and practical experience needed to
effectively teach in schools and educational institutions.
B.A.B.Ed (4 years Integrated Course) ITEP: The B.A.-B.Ed. Integrated Course is a dual-degree program that
combines undergraduate studies in arts (B.A.) with teacher education (B.Ed.). The undergraduate part is offered
in arts (B.A.), and the professional part is offered in teacher education (B.Ed.)

Diploma

D.EL.Ed (2 Years): D.El.Ed is a foundational teacher training program that equips individuals with the skills to
educate young learners at the elementary level.

About Course

The B.A. B.Ed. Integrated Course is a dual-degree program that combines undergraduate studies in arts (B.A.) with

Facilities

COMPUTER LAB – The College has a well furnished Computer Lab with more than 30 computers with the latest window,
which caters to the needs of pupil teachers.The Computer Lab also has a multimedia projector and internet
facility to empower students to become effective educators in a digitally driven world.It is used for imparting
practical training to the students and also helps them to use the computer as a problem-solving tool in
teaching.
ICT RESOURCE CENTER – The College has – Television, OHP, LCD Projector, Tape recorder, Transparencies, CDs and
DVDs, Digital camera, Video Camera, Mike with Speakers.Addition to this we have also a model smart class room to
make students well versed in using all resources related to ICT.
SCIENCE AND MATHEMATICS LABORATORIES – The college also has a well-equipped laboratory with all the equipment
necessary to carry experiments required to carry experiments required at school level and to develop the spirit
of scientific attitude for prospective teachers.
PSYCHOLOGY LAB – Psychology lab plays a vital role in the training of pupil teachers.Through different tools,
tests, Apparatus and inventories students can learn to assess the attitude,aptitude,intelligence, personality,
behaviour and creativity of the students. Proper Guidance and counseling services are also provided to the
students on issues pertaining career counseling
LANGUAGE LAB – The Language lab in an Education college plays a crucial role in developing communication skills.
The language teaching-learning software works on 10 computer units and comprises lessons in grammar,
composition, phonetics, listening activities and exercises.
WIFI CAMPUS – The students are also being provided Wireless connectivity (Wi-Fi) enabling the students to access
online information anywhere in and around the campus using their Laptops as 21st Century belongs to the era of
Web connectivity 24/7 as the Internet plays an essential role in today’s life. This further helps them to use
facilities of e-mail, net surfing, up/downloading of web-based applications helping them prepare projects and
seminar presentations.
LIBRARY – Universal College of Education has a fully automated and digital library having more than 4000 books.
The Library has a reference section including encyclopedias, dictionaries in English, Hindi, Punjabi, National
Educational surveys, Yearbooks etc. It also has e-documents in the form of compact disks. The Library is
equipped with the latest facilities such as Computer, Printer and Internet services. To encourage research
activities and advanced reading, our library has memberships of many e-journals and databases of concerned
fields, including annual subscription of DELNET.
DISPENSARY – In order to provide round the clock medical facilities to the students, a dispensary is established
within the campus that attends to basic medical requirements as well as unforeseen emergencies.
KITCHEN GARDEN – Universal College of Education has a Kitchen Garden to provide hands -on learning about
environmental education,sustainability and importance of healthy food. By participating in gardening activities
pupil teachers learn how to integrate practical life skills into the curriculum and it also promotes the
essential qualities for holistic education.
HOSTEL FACILITY – Universal College of Education has separate hostels for boys and girls. All hostels are
provided with 24*7 purified water supply and power back-up . Each hostel has a common room that provides
facilities for indoor recreation and games. Each hostel has a warden, who guides the students to manage the
affairs of the hostels.
TRANSPORT – Universal College of Education owns a fleet of luxurious buses that pick and drop faculty
members/students from all surrounding areas like Ambala, Zirakpur, Mohali, Chandigarh, Kharar and Panchkula.
