About Department

The Human Resource Department of Universal Group of Institutions (UGI), Lalru, Mohali plays a vital role in managing and supporting the institution’s faculty and staff. It is responsible for recruiting qualified and competent professionals who align with UGI’s mission of providing quality education with a global perspective. The department handles all stages of the employee lifecycle — from recruitment, onboarding, and training to performance management and separation.

It ensures that institutional policies are followed and maintains a positive and professional work environment. The HR team also looks after employee welfare, payroll coordination, leave management, and compliance with statutory and institutional regulations. In addition, it supports various committees such as the Anti-Sexual Harassment Cell and Grievance Redressal Committee to promote a safe and inclusive workplace.

Grievances and Redressal

The main objective of this cell is to create a healthy and transparent atmosphere within the campus by ensuring that issues related to academics, administration, or personal matters are heard and resolved effectively.

The cell functions as a bridge between the management and the complainant, promoting mutual respect and trust. It encourages individuals to express their concerns without fear or hesitation and ensures that justice is provided through proper investigation and corrective measures. The Grievance Redressal Cell maintains confidentiality and handles all cases with impartiality.
