UCACS organised A Seminar on OZone Day

UCACS has organized a one day Seminar on “International Day on preservation of Ozone layer” on 16th September, 2015. The event started with welcome address by Dr. L.K. Attri to the guest Dr. S.K. Kansal, Professor, Dr. S.S. Bhatnagar Institutes of Engineering & Technology, Panjab University, Chandigarh. The event was progressed with handing over
bouquet to the guest and lamp lightening thereafter. On this occasion, Dr. Kansal delivered an educative talk on the theme. More than hundred students & faculty members from different streams participated in the event. Dr. Kansal apprised the students about the importance of Ozone Layer. He also sensitized the students about the hazards due to depletion of Ozone layer, and motivated them to use the technology in sustainable manner.In the concluding remark, Dr. L.K. Attri (HOI), besides aware the students about the
importance of the day, also stressed upon to not use the substances which are depleting Ozone layer. At the end, a vote of thanks was given by Ms. Karuna Mittal.
