MBA & Applied Science Deptt. of UIET organised a guest lecture on "Corporate Social Responsibility"

A guest lecture by Dr. Anupam Sharma Astt. Prof., School of Humanities and Social Sciences, Thapar University, Patiala was held on 25th Sept., 2015 in the Universal Institution of Engineering and Technology, Lalru. The lecture was organized jointly by the Management and the Applied Science Department of the college. The topic of the lecture was “Corporate Social Responsibility”. H.O.D Management, Dr. Puja Vij, H.O.D Applied Sciences, Mr. Vikas Sharma and its faculty members were present on the occasion. The objective of the lecture was to make students aware about taking responsibility, especially, in the corporate world for the betterment of society. She was welcomed by a bouquet. Dr. Anupam gave a power point presentation on the topic to the students. She said that today, Corporate Social Responsibility is an all year round responsibility that companies accept for the environment around them, for the best working practices, for the engagement of the local communities. She emphasized that it is only through accepting responsibility, we can contribute constructively in the progress of nation. At last, after a vote of thanks, a memento was presented to the guest speaker by the H.O.D Management.
