UCACS organized a one day seminar on "Commerce & Science" on November 19, 2015

UCACS has organized a one day seminar on “Commerce & Science on November 19, 2015. A Rangoli & G.K. Quiz was also held on same day. The event was started at around 11.00 am with welcome address followed by lightening of lamp by HOI, Dr L.K. Attri and all faculty members. Thereafter, a G.K Quiz competition started where five teams were participated. The competition was judged by a panel of three judges. After G.K. Quiz, rangoli competition was conducted where more than 20 students had participated; panel of two members judged the event. Both the events took place before noon.

During the second parts of the event, Dr. Rajinder Arora (Associate Professor), Govt. B.R. Ambedkar College, Kaithal joined as Chief Guest. Head of institution, Dr. Dr. L. K Attri formally welcomed the guest by presenting bouquet. Thereafter, Dr. Arora delivered an important talk on “Soft Skills”. Dr. Arora apprised the students how to prepare themselves for the interview besides virtually shown the different hurdled faced while in the company and how to handle those hurdled. He stressed upon to work on their sitting, talking, gesture, and communication skills.

In second lecture, Dr. L.K Attri delivered an awakening talk on “Science for All”. Dr Attri tried to break the myth that the science is only for science subject students. He stressed upon to develop scientific temper to get success in future. He also gave facts to prove that person with scientific temper could work more promisingly. He taught the students to apply science in real life.

The function was graced by Dr. Vikas Dhawan (Director), UIET, by his benign presence during concluding hours. Dr Dhawan interacted with students as well. The winners of G.K. Quiz & Rangoli competition were presented gifts & certificates by the guests at last. Dr. L.K Attri concluded the long day event at around 3.30pm. At the end, a vote of thanks was presented by Ms. Manisha.
