ECE department has celebrated International Women’s Day on 8th March, 2016. International Women's Day (March 8) is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. The day also marks a call to action for accelerating gender parity.

 

The objective of celebration of International Women’s Day was to celebrate women’s history, highlighting key events, milestones and achievements, and aims to further promote and raise awareness of women’s rights and to achieve equal opportunity status in all walks of life. Students participated in various events like Paper reading, Theater Act, Singing, Poster making which reflects the various acts of courage and determination by women in all fields of life by showing women empowerment and compulsion of girl education in today’s world. Students were encouraged by awarding certificates of the events by campus Director Dr. Baljeet Kapoor and Principal UIET Dr. Swati Sharma, Principal UPC and HOD’s of different departments were also present. The event was summed up with a thank you documentry video.
