Universal Group of Institutions, Lalru In association with Larson and Toubro Organized seminar on the topic “Job Opportunities in Automobile Sector” on 23 rd May 2016.

 

Bringing alive the educational spirit of students, The Training and Placements Cell of Universal Group of Institutions, Lalru invited the panel from the Larson and Toubro (L&T) to the UGI campus on 23rd May 2016, Monday to guide final-year students who want to make their career in automobile sector.

 

148 final-year B.Tech and Diploma Mechanical Engineering students, who attended the seminar conducted by the L&T as part of its career counselling session.

 

In this occasion Executive Director- Dr. Baljeet S. Kapoor, delivered the welcome address. He emphasized that while selecting the career proper care should be taken.

 

Mr. S.K Anand, Manager, Skill Development discussed with the students on various Job opportunities in Automobile sector, He also insured that if the students follow their practicles and Workshops during their academic year students can get best after the completion of their degree. He emphasized that Automobile industry design new models of automobiles, keeping in mind performance, capability, strength, appearance and also their expenditure on the manufacture and maintenance. The major responsibility of an automobile engineer is maintaining the high standard of vehicle by using traditional methods and state of the art technology.

 

Dean Training and Placements, Er. R.K Kapoor said in his speech that there are a huge number of options one can get after the completion of the degree. Students should concentrate on educational skill but also concentrate on employability skill, this will increase their confidence.

 

Mr. Chaturverdi, Area Head (L&T), stressed about the role of engineering in growth of Indian economy. He emphasized that the student community should make use of the opportunities they have to achieve full employment. He further said that the major responsibility of an automobile engineer is maintaining the high standard of vehicle by using traditional methods and state of the art technology.

 

In the end Principal UIET, Dr. Swati Sharma gave a vote of thanks to the panel of L&T who came in order to deliver a seminar on Job Opportunities in Automobile Sector.

 

Asst. Training and Placement Officer, Mr. Ravi Pratap Singh organised the whole program and made all the arrangements to make this event successful.
