Aavishkar 2016, the annual two day fest was organized with great zeal and vigor by Universal Group of Institutions, Lalru on 10 th and 11 th November 2016. Aavishkar was set up with a belief to value our intellectual capital and nurture it through a perfect blend of traditional as well as contemporary ways and means for the comprehensive development of student’s personality. The fest was inaugurated by Sh. Krishan Pal Sharma, Chairman,District Planning Board,SAS Nagar.

 

Aavishkar proved to be a platform where the budding engineers showcased their skills through various innovative projects like multi utility sewage system, folding bridge, open to sky building, segway, foldable bicycle, crime tracking system, etc. Various colleges participated in inter college competitions like robo war, nitro car racing,karnaugh competition, programmers at war, trace the bug, pick and place, etc. Students presented various cultural performances that included bhangra,folk dance,western dance,singing. Dr. Gurpreet Singh, Chairman,Universal Group of Institutions appreciated the efforts of students and encouraged them with his inspirational words. Sh. Krishan Pal Sharma shared that he was very much impressed by the hard work and efforts that the students have put in making their projects and the discipline that was maintained by the organisers.
