UGI Celebrated the International Women's Day on 6 March, 2018

A Women is the one who is wonderful, outstanding, Marvelous, adorable and nice to the situation she faces and comes out in flying colours. International Women’s Day was celebrated by the Universal Group of Institutions on 6 th March 2018. This is a commemoration event under the theme "Hauslon Ki Uddan". It is an honor and privilege to honor Social, Political and Economic Achievers of our Dr. Jyoti (HOD Sciology Dept. govt. college Sec42), Dr. Asmita Mehla (infertility specialist, Asha Kiran Hospital, Mohali), Ms. Anamika Bhalla (Entrepreneur) and different Female Sarpanchs from nearby villages. Dr. Gurpreet Singh, Chairman, UGI Started the programme with welcome note quoted by "Women’s are Real Architects of our Society". He strongly advocated Girl’s Education, Women’s Respect and Equal status in Society.

 

On this special day some very special Guest Honored form different arena of our Society. Dr. Jyoti (HOD Sociology Dept. govt. college Sec42) she has worked on women’s conditions and Empowerment and also working as Head of Women Cell. During her interaction she quoted "if there is anyone who can stand up for women, it is women”. She also said there is need to change the male dominating thinking of our society. Everyone have Equal Right and stop blaming women on male mistake. She stated that there a moment when you have to choose whether to be silent or to standup. Dr. Asmita Mehla (Infertility specialist, Asha Kiran Hospital, Mohali) said there is no short cut to achieve or fulfill your dreams, believe yourself only. In 21th century, No girl need God father. She said you will never gain anyone's approval by begging for respect. When you stand confident in your own worth, respect follows. Along with this Ms. Anamika added on, quoted that "A man is not a Financial Plan". Be a woman in Business not a Woman in everyone’s Business. She shared her life moments, how she started her own Business and standup for her family. She said "if you fell down yesterday standup today, live your life according to your own rules. After that inspiring Speech and interaction of all Guests with students, there was beautiful skit presented by Girls of Universal Institutions of Nursing. Also introduced Female Sarpanchs of nearby village and the achievements. During the Progamme some inspiring PPT also played (based on Journey of baby girl to women, inspiring Women’s of India and leading Women’s of their very own Group of Institutions).
