UGI Celebrated Lohri in the Campus

Lohri was celebrated with great enthusiasm at Universal group of institutions, Ballopur, Lalru. Lohri is the famous festival of north India, especially of Punjab. It is celebrated on the last night of the month Paush, it is the beginning of Magh month i.e. Spring season. At UGI, both students and teachers participated in all the activities organised for the celebration by the UGI. The mood of the campus was upbeat and the students were totally absorbed in the festive spirit of Lohri. Chairman, UGI, Dr. Gurpreet Singh with all the dignitaries worshipped 'Dhooni'. The programme started with 'Lohri Poojan'.

 

Speaking on the occasion Chairman, Dr. Gurpreet Singh wished that may the coming year would bring the happiness in the lives of the all human beings. Programmes like dances, songs and games were the point of attraction in the occasion. The occasion prompts people to be thankful for God’s provision and to celebrate his creations, its focus on farming.
