Universal Institution of Management (UIMT) had organised an industrial visit on 4th April 2019 to “The Tribune” located in Chandigarh for the students of BCA, BBA, and MBA. This is to report that total 52 students along with three staff coordinators visited the industry.

 

As scheduled, the visit team reached The Tribune at 11:30 am. Mr. Atul Gulati (Printing department Head), addressed the students. They started with a brief introduction done by company later on they gathered in the printing room with enthusiasm to learn about day to day printing work. He explained about the functioning of department. Later Mr.Sushil Tiwari addressed the BBA and MBA students. During this session, he helped the students to know all the treaties of The Tribune. Students interacted with the Tribune team leaders very effectively. BCA students were introduced with the Tribune IT department. During this session students have gone through the pre-process before printing the newspaper. The team was able to gather knowledge on how to design the paper layout with pre-defined rows and columns, that how grammatical error testing is done and submission of articles to different departments.

 

This visit was highly useful for the students in terms of practical knowledge about modern day business environment. All the students expressed their thanks to the officials for the opportunity given and making the visit a valuable learning experience. The entire event was concluded with the coordination of Ms. Navdeep kaur, Ms. Priyanka, Ms. Renu Saini Assistant Professors, UIMT.
